The series Football Leaks assembled roughly 3,4 terrabyte of leaked data that were analyzed by the Spiegel investigative team and released in print and online over four weeks in November 2018.
The illustrations combine quotes from the respective texts with photographs of the protagonists and drawings by Benedikt Rugar, to achieve an updated version of yellow press aesthetics. The reduced color palette consits of the signature Spiegel red and black. The same principle was applied for the online content of the series.
